Katie and Justin are so much fun and I had a blast getting to spend their wedding day with them. I feel so blessed to be able to work with such amazing couples like Katie and Justin. We started the day at Gray Manor which is an amazing historic mansion designed by Kenn Gray. Katie and Justin had their ceremony at St. Francis de Sales...sounds so fancy right? And the party ended at Justin's parent's home which was awesome until the Sheriff came and shut us down around 10:30pm.

Kate + Ben = Married
I love you guys and am so thankful that I got to photograph your wedding and be a small part of your amazing day. Kate and Ben are two amazing people...I had a feeling they would be because I was also blessed enough to photograph two other weddings they were connected to via other amazing people. People often ask me about my favorite weddings...and I don't like to play favorites...but this was definitely up there...and that is because my favorite weddings are the ones where the couple is absolutely crazy about each other and Jesus.

Aubrey + Nathan = Tennessee Horse Farm Engagement
I had so much fun getting to spend the day with Aubrey and Nathan on their engagement session at Aubrey's family farm in Leatherwood, Tennessee. You can't ask for more on an engagement session than a couple that is totally in love and a beautiful horse farm. Can't wait to shoot their wedding!!
Confession = I am Overwhelmed
This time of year is absolutely crazy for me.

It is the most beautiful time of the year in Tennessee because the weather is perfect and the leaves are changing from green to orange which means everyone wants to get married and/or have their engagement session or bridal portraits taken. I feel blessed to be busy and consistently shooting year round, and have a love hate relationship with this time of year because I want to be shooting outdoor sessions in beautiful weather and surroundings, but part of me would also rather be spending that time with my family and friends doing awesome things like hiking and kayaking in the wilderness of our great state of Tennessee.

So you may be thinking at this point in the blog post...where is he going with this?
This time of the year makes me thankful for my job. #forrealsyall'
Yes...like I said...this is the craziest time of the year for me and there is a constant temptation to take that busyness and frustration and throw it towards my job, but the reality is that I absolutely love my job.
I make a good living. I work with amazing people. I take photos for a living. And I am typing this from the freakin' beach.

In the midst of my crazy busy season and stress I want to thank all of the amazing couples that have chosen me to photograph their special day and thank God for giving me a job that provides for my family and satisfies the creative nature inside of me.
Grace + Peter = Nashville Engagement Awesomeness
The first time I met Grace and Peter was at Yazoo Brewery...I knew we are were going to get along great. They love the outdoors so we went to one of their favorite hiking spots for their session and I couldn't believe how beautiful this place was. I always love going to places that have a special meaning for couples and finding a way to incorporate their interests into a session. Luckily, I'm not scared of heights..not to say I didn't get a little scared standing near the edge on one leg trying to balance to get an aerial shot of them.
