Kelley + Ryan = Nashville Elopement at The Vandyke

Nashville Elopement

After several changes to their plans, Kelley and Ryan finally got to have an amazing wedding day. With a change of venue and guest size they landed at The Vandyke is East Nashville and had their ceremony on the rooftop. They had a small amount of guests, many who traveled from all over the country to be there. Ryan got a special surprise when his best friend, who wasn’t suppose to make it, took Kelley’s place for the (first) first look. They ended the night hanging out with delicious food and drinks watching the sun set over downtown Nashville. It was a perfect day.

Nicole + Alex = Cheekwood Engagement Session

Cheekwood Engagement Session

I love always love shooting at Cheekwood, but especially when it’s with a couple like Nicole and Alex. It’s pretty easy to tell by the photos but we laughed the whole time. We had the perfect fall day for their engagement session. They were even brave enough to walk across some uneven rocks by the water which I soon learned could have made the session take a very different turn. Everything turned out just fine though. I am so excited I get to shoot their wedding! Enjoy the photos.

Megan + Lee = Nashville Cathedral of the Incarnation Wedding

Another amazing wedding despite Covid trying it’s best to mess with love. Meg and Lee got married at The Cathedral of the Incarnation and had the reception at his parents house. We started the day off at Hillwood Country Club where the ladies got ready before heading over to the church for the ceremony. Meg and Lee are such a fun couple so of course their wedding party was a blast too.

We had a nice gap between the ceremony and reception so we made the short trip over to Vanderbilt’s campus for some photos. It’s been awhile since I have shot on Vandy’s campus and I almost forgot how beautiful it is. The entire day was incredibly laid back and full of laughter. A huge shout out to Jayne Bubis Events for creating such a beautiful reception and making the day run like clockwork.

Bette + Tee = Woodmont Christian Church + Belle Meade Country Club Wedding

The third time’s a charm…after having to deal with the pandemic and rescheduling their big day, they finally were able to make it happen…and the day was absolutely perfect. I first met Bette a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid in one of my very good friend’s (basically family) wedding out in Steamboat, Colorado.

Bette and Tee have been together for something crazy like 11 years…you might have to fact check that one but I’m pretty sure that’s right. They had originally planned a large wedding, but downsized like many other couples this year. They didn’t let the constant stress of planning a wedding during Covid get them down. They got married at Woodmont Christian Church where Bette grew up.

The entire day was so laid back and full of laughter. They ended the night with an intimate dinner with their closest family and friends at Belle Meade Country Club.

Liz + Casey = Nashville Elopement Wedding

Liz and Casey had originally planned on having a big wedding, but like many couples this year they decided to downsize and make the best of things. It was amazing because through out the day I kept hearing everyone say, ‘We should have done it this way in the first place’. Even though things didn’t go as originally planned, it was still a perfect wedding day.

They got married at Liz’s parents house with a handful of family members. Her dress wasn’t ready yet so she wore her mom’s wedding dress and she looked absolutely stunning. I’ve really enjoyed watching couples elope this year, which is something I never thought I would hear myself say. The small weddings really strip things down to everything that I love about weddings…two people dedicating their lives together in front of their closest family and friends.

They wrapped up the night sitting around the table together with incredible food, drinks, and laughter. It was a perfect day.
