Darcy + Jeff = Saddle Woods Farm Wedding

Saddle Woods Farm

Saddle Woods Farm is one of my favorite venues and it was the perfect location for Darcy and Jeff’s wedding. Darcy grew up riding horses so it was a natural fit to have them everywhere and anywhere possible on her wedding day. Darcy and Jeff met close to 30 years ago at a friends wedding and after walking through life as friends for so long their stories took a turn, they reconnected, and here we are today! I’m so thankful I got to photograph these two wonderful people and all their family and friends.

Bridgette + Brett = Nashville Wedding

Bridgette and Brett are amazing people and also happen to be friends of mine. It’s always fun getting to work with people I know well, and especially when it means getting to shoot their incredibly fun wedding. We started the day in one of the coolest suites I have ever seen at The Westin in downtown Nashville. It had a killer view of the city, a bathtub in the bedroom, and a pool table. After everyone was ready, we headed downtown for some photos of Bridgette and Brett before we headed to the ceremony. It was fun watching Bridgette be a bride, but still having the occasional mom duties throughout the day. The reception was a blast and the folks at Berry Hill Chiropractic sure know how to throw down. Enjoy the photos!

Katie + Thy = NYC Engagement Session

Katie and I went to high school together in South Africa, so I couldn’t have been more exited to get a message from her when she got engaged. We went to an international school so when our class graduation people went all over the world. Katie eventually ended up in NYC where she met Thy. They are getting married in Austin, Texas next year but we did their engagement session in NYC. This was my first time shooting in NYC and I absolutely loved it. It definitely has a different vibe than shooting in the open fields of Tennessee, but I loved the busyness of the city and all the gorgeous architecture. I had so much fun exploring Central Park and the city with these two and can’t wait for the wedding next year.

Emily + Garrett = Cedar Hall in Memphis TN

I’m always a little bummed when I get to shoot at a beautiful venue at it rains all day. I’ve never been more thankful for a covered front porch in my entire life. Luckily, Cedar Hall has a great one. Even though it rained the entire day it didn’t stop Emily and Garrett from having the time of their lives at their incredibly fun and beautiful wedding. Emily looked absolutely stunning and it was obvious that Garrett agreed after seeing his reaction at their first look. I love that they decided to take a moment to exchange the letters they wrote for each other before the wedding day kicked into high gear. There is something about rainy wedding days that makes everyone hunker down and party hard. It was so fun to watch these two wonderful people get to celebrate with their closest family and friends.

Shannon + Frashier = St. Henry's Catholic Church Wedding in Franklin, TN

Shannon and Frashier are such a fun couple and couldn’t be more perfect for one another. The day started great when I was mistaken for a groomsmen who was delivering an item to a bridesmaid at the house where they were getting ready and I was greeted with ‘boobs?’. After shooting over 400 weddings this was still a first for me. The day only got better and more fun from there. Shannon and Frashier had their ceremony at St. Phillips Catholic Church in downtown Franklin, Tennessee followed by a ridiculously fun reception at their friends private farm. The entire day was full of laughter. It’s so fun to see couples who have invested into the people around them, and to see all those people surround them and share that love right back at them on one amazing day. Congrats you guys and thank you so much for having me along for the ride.
