Ellen and John are such an amazing couple and I think we had a blast on the shoot...I know I did. This is a really girlie thing to say, but I loved the dresses she picked out for the shoot. If you are thinking about what to wear for your engagement session take some notes on their sweet threads. We started the session downtown, then headed over to a newly discovered abandoned building in East Nashville, and finished up in a magical field. I'm so happy for you guys and can't wait to photograph the wedding!

Jessie + Michael - Nashville Wedding Photography
Jessi and Michael are an amazing couple which is probably why they won my free wedding photography giveaway. You can see the video that they entered into my competition at the beginning of the post. They met on a plane ride from Honduras to the States and have been inseparable ever since. Michael and his family are from Honduras so I got to use the very little spanish I still remember form high school at their wedding. They had their beautiful and intimate wedding and reception at Marathon Village. I'm so happy for you guys and feel blessed that I got to be part of such an amazing celebration. Savanna + James - Nashville Engagement Photography
I loved the time I got to spend with Savanna and James during their engagement session last Friday. They are getting married at Cedarwood this summer, but are currently in school at Wheaton and made some time for an engagement session over spring break. They are perfect for each other and totally in love which always makes for great photos. Here are just a few of my favorites:

Baby Gray
Most of you probably know by now that Lacy and I are having our first kiddo later this summer. We have decided to call this little rascal Gray Burton Wright even though Lacy had a crush on a guy name Gray when she was in elementary school. This photo is from the latest ultrasound. These things can be really difficult to make out if you aren't told what you are looking at, but I think this one has been the clearest so far. Gray just wanted to let us know that he is doing good and everything is going to plan. I think he's fine just chilling inside Lacy for now, but he has been pretty squirmy so I'm not sure how long that will last. According to my grandfather there is a legend of giving a 'thumbs up' in our family. The version of the story that I remember goes a little something like this...
When I was a baby I suffered severe dehydration and had to be hospitalized. I still have a scar on the inside of my right ankle where they put in the I.V. Like you see in the movies, I was laying there in my glass crib and protected by an inner room with a large viewing window when my Grandpa came to check on me from the other side of the glass. He looked at me and I gave him a 'thumbs up' to let him know I was going to be ok.
The legend lives on in my first born...
