We just got back last night from an awesome trip down to Florida with some of our closest friends. The last night we were there I offered to do mini sessions for all the couples. Andrea and Lance are such a sweet couple and I had so much fun shooting their wedding at Woodmont Christian Church and reception at the Hermitage Hotel. The last time I was at Woodmont Christian Church in January was for my own wedding 6 years ago, so it was really fun to be back and celebrate with Andrea and Lance on their special day.
February is usually the slowest month of the year for me because there are very few weddings and it's a little too cold for most people to desire going outside for an engagement session. It has been so nice to have a week or so of downtime. For the first time in a long time I picked up my camera because I wanted to do so. I shot so many weddings and engagement sessions last year that the idea of taking and editing more photos for personal reasons always seemed to be the last thing I wanted to do when I had any free time. It felt so good to take photos for me. I was reminded of how much I love photography and how blessed I am to be able to do it as my full time job.
