Lauren and Patrick are so much fun! Their awesome wedding was at the Church of the Assumption, but before things got started we headed down to War Memorial to take some photos. I loved Patricks' white suit jacket that he picked up at Ambassador's Formal Wear.
How to Light a Rolls Royce
When a couple hires an awesome car like this you have to take a killer photo of them with it. Using strobes gives you the style of lighting that is perfect for a situation like this. You can see how I took this photo in the lighting diagram below. All of my settings are listed in the diagram. The flashes were triggered with pocketwizards. Let me know if you have any questions.
Happy New Year
This "first sight" photo reminded me of why I love my job. Two people who are absolutely crazy about each other decide to spend the rest of their lives together and I get to be there to take photos. I am so thankful for the couples that God has brought into my life and my business this year. Last night I shot the last wedding of 2012 for me which made it a total of 41 weddings for the year. There were times I thought I was going to lose my mind because I was so busy shooting and editing, but getting to capture moments like this are what make it all worth it. I'm excited about 2013 and the weddings that I will get to be a part of next year. I'm limiting myself to 25 to give me family, friends, and clients the time and attention they deserve. Thank you to everyone who keeps up with my blog, the couples who support and believe in my work, and everyone that has supported by business and art over the past years. Happy New Year.
Calle + Corey = Nashville Engagement Session
I can't wait for their wedding today!! A special thanks to Milk Way Farms for letting us use their beautiful property for this session.
Michelle + Jeff = Nashville Engagement Session
Michelle + Jeff came down from Chicago for their engagement session so it only made sense that the wind followed them down. Seriously...the windiest engagement session ever. Despite the wind and the chilly temperatures we still had a blast and managed to capture a few photos without the wind dominating Michelle's hair.
