Sloan + Aaron = Cedarwood Engagement

I thought we may have to reschedule the shoot because the entire morning was cold and rainy.  By the time the shoot started it was just cold.  The great thing about the weather was that the overcast skies meant we could go anywhere in Cedarwood's amazing venue and not have to work around what the Sun was doing.  Sloan + Aaron were so much fun to spend the day with and I have to give special props to any couple that is willing to hop into a boat for their session.

Hilton Head Vacation

I love this place.  Lacy grew up going to Hilton Head, SC during the summer and it slowly became her family's 'go to' summer vacation spot.  Hilton Head is beautiful and really low key.  You can ride bikes every where you need to go and even down the long flat beaches they have to offer.  Sometimes on vacation I take a break from the camera, but we usually have one day where we take some good ol' family photos.  I've done a pretty good job of keeping Gray out of girly outfits up to this point in his life, but Lacy and her mom love that type of thing, so I failed miserably as you can see in the first photo.

Kaitlynn + Burton = Engaged

There are some sessions that immediately remind me I have the best job in the world.  I would like to introduce you to Kaitlynn + Burton.  The first photo you see below is the first photo I snapped...I knew it was going to be a fun day.  Being in front of the camera can be a very uncomfortable place to be for many people and most couples take about 20-30 minutes to get warmed up on engagement sessions.  Kaitlynn + Burton were having so much fun together I think they forgot I was even there taking photos.  We brought along a few antique cameras from Kaitlynn's collection and Burton brought his guitar because (he is awesome at guitar) he played Kaitlynn a song he wrote for her when he proposed.  Enjoy the photos!

Ashley + Brad = Arrington Vineyards Engagement

I had so much fun getting to spend the day with Ashley + Brad at Arrington Vineyards.  Not only is it an amazing place to take photos, it also happens to be the place where Brad popped the question.  We shot for a little over an hour, hit the pause button so we could share a bottle of wine as we waited for the sun to start setting, and then took some more photos.  I love doing engagement shoots because it gives me an opportunity to really get to know the couples I work with and have some fun together.  It is especially fun when wine is involved.
