I’ve been received some messages and emails lately asking about some of my gear. I don’t want to go into a full “What’s in My Bag” blog post right now but thought I would share one of my two favorite lenses…the 85mm f/1.4. This lens is awesome for portraits and it opens up all the way to f/1.4 which is great for Shallow Depth of Field and low light situations.

Love these! May I ask how far away from the subject you need to be with this lens to get them in the frame? I may jut have to rent it to play with it myself!!
I have some awesome/talented friends. Two of those friends are Tyler and David over at Yeah Yeah Creative. About 2 months ago I got to help them out with a music video for the amazingly talented Maggie Rose. I did the lighting for the video. It was such a fun day and I loved getting to collaborate with other creatives to make this happen. Here are stills I snapped and the music video:
